A Better View

..now that I have moved my seating towards a new angle, am able to enjoy a glimpse of my favorite painting while sipping on my tea or enjoying my sweet coffee.. my blue quadro.. it's been abandoned all this time, but enjoyed within seconds when I pass by it dashing from one room to another..
I believe in the power of paintings, drawings and colors.. a quick journey to colorful Eden in just a split second when you lay eyes on them..
what I regret most, that I came back from the US empty handed, with no framed art to hang on my wall, that would've been a happy reminder of one beautiful journey.. I still have many white walls waiting to be filled with a window to some pretty art or a nice memory..
Luckily, I do have a beautiful piece waiting to be framed and appreciated.. it was copied by
my daughter at school.. I will make her do more of these goodies..
The last picture shows my daughter's painting.. isn't it a candy to the eye?

Ramadhan Anticipated

My friend has designed and made this dress (darra3eh) for me.. ES is her signature..
The choice of fabric looks inspired by these pretty candles I bought from Anthropologie this
summer.. oh I could write a love story about Anthropologie!
This Ramadhan dress will be completed with bling-blingy golden bangles and earings, and the
scent of holy oud and bukhoor.. See you soon Ramadhan!

I'm Back

and I love it so much when I return home after such a long vacation.. I start to love my place
all over again.. and surprise surprise, I had my custom made sofa waiting for me.. it was a
delight receiving it after a 4 month waiting.. I chose the colors.. my favorite vibrant yellow and orange for the pillows.. and the lightest teal.. oh I love teal.. teal and yellow were on my mind
all summer long.. aaah! I'm glad I'm done with this tiny tv room..
the last picture shows our old sofa, invaded by stains.. now that it's leaving us I feel sorry
for it.. all these memories, the spilled milk, the butter from the movie time popcorn, my morning
teas.. it's almost like a precious scrapbook you want to keep in the attic.. I will keep it anyway, I
will start my quest and hunt for new fabrics though, I will give it another chance and a newer
look!

just a little mental note: books and magazines make the best decorative accessories..
